Mandrel Inverted Welder and Gripper Assembly
This project involved designing a custom fixture for an inverted welder and gripper assembly used to weld membranes onto 4 mL and 15 mL centrifugal concentrator housings. The goal was to improve alignment precision and ensure consistent weld quality across varying product sizes. I modeled and detailed the fixture in SolidWorks, created machining drawings, sourced all required hardware, and assembled the complete setup for testing. This project strengthened my skills in mechanical design, tolerance analysis, and fixture development for high-precision manufacturing applications.
