Pneumatic Controller
This project involved designing and developing a pneumatic control system to evaluate and optimize the performance of filtration devices. The controller used solenoid valves, pressure transducers, and a flow meter to regulate and monitor airflow through the system. I created a LabVIEW program to automate valve operation, acquire and log real-time pressure and flow data, and export the results to Excel for analysis. The project required integrating mechanical, electrical, and software components, providing hands-on experience in system design, prototyping, and data-driven testing.

Following my co-op, the next phase of the project was to complete applications testing to identify the filtration devices and use cases in which the pneumatic controller proof-of-concept could most effectively evaluate and optimize performance. Based on the testing outcomes, the team would refine the system design and proceed toward finalizing a production-ready version. Pending successful validation, the device could then move into manufacturing for large-scale deployment and distribution.
