Woodworking Projects
Clock Holder Project
In this project, I created a clock holder with a Boston Red Sox logo for my favorite baseball team. First, I used VCarve Pro to design the size of my wooden block, the block stand, and the paths for the engraving job for the clock placement. Next, I cut these designs using a CNC Router. Then, I sanded all surfaces using a sanding machine to ensure that they were smooth and level. Next, I imported the Boston Red Sox logo into Adobe Illustrator which I then exported to a laser cutter with specific instructions on how to engrave the block at various depths. After the block was cut, I painted it and glued the block holder to the back of my block face. I cut the block holder so that when attached to the block there would be a slight angle to ensure visibility and security of my logo and clock on the block face. Lastly, I finished and polished the wood, and inserted my clock into the block face.

Storage Box Project
I wanted to design and build a box to hold my Magic The Gathering playing cards. There are five different types of cards in the game so I wanted a box consisting of five different compartments. First, I chose the type of wood and then used a band saw to cut the wood to the desired dimensions. I then used wood glue to glue the sides to each other and to the bottom of my box. I then created a filleted beveled edge using a sanding machine. Next, I added a hinge to the back and top of my box so that it could be opened and closed. Lastly, I sanded, finished, and polished the box.

Decorative Project
I wanted to make a wood carving decoration for my room. I was inspired to make this piece because of my interest in Marvel movies and comics. I used VCarve pro to design the size of the block and the path of the engravings using a laser cutter. I then sanded, finished, and polished the decorative wooden block.
